WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT HOW TO LIVE CREATIVELY
Premises
First of all, to Live Creatively does not mean that you live artistically. That is fine if you are artistic, but you don't have to be an artist to live creatively. Rather, you look for new and different ways of doing everything you do in life. This can include managing finances, relationships (especially romantic ones), marketing, parenting, sex, furnishing your dwelling space, and more.
There are a few premises we have about what it means to live creatively:
- You must take responsibility for your life. No one else will do it for you.
- You must adopt a positive attitude toward the knocks of life. As an example, if life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. It isn't what happens that matters but how you respond that does.
- It is not important that you fall down. It does matter that you get up.
- Whining is okay occasionally, but get over it as quickly as possible and move on.
- Life should be a fun adventure, not a terrible daily grind. But only you can make it so.
- In order for this to be true, you must find ways to experience meaning in your life.
Our role is to offer you ideas for how to find creative ways of doing things. As an example, we'll offer you ways to keep your relationships fresh and fun, rather than letting them get stale. Not every idea we offer will appeal to you, but you'll get enough that some of them will work.
Each month we'll publish a Guide to Live Creatively, and for an additional fee, you can join one of our coaching groups. You'll receive more information as we go forward.
